1st Festival of Frugality in 2007
Binary Dollar has done a great job hosting the 55th Festival of Frugality, the first in our new year, and has even pulled some colorful images to go along with the twenty-three articles submitted during the holiday shortened week.
Here are the posts I thought were must-reads (though I’d go over there and check them all out and make my own determination):
- What Can I Do Today To Make Me Rich In The Future? at The Simply Dollar is a good read about how little decisions or moves can have a big financial impact.
- What to do With Those Unwanted Holiday Gifts is a post that lists some suggestions for those unwanted gifts. My personal advice is that you should wait another week or so before you go to return items to avoid the long return lines, most places have a long enough return policy that waiting two weeks isn’t a problem. Honestly, you’ll add years to your life not waiting in a return line.
- Top 10 Ways to Save on Your Winter Heating Bill has some good suggestions that I hadn’t heard before for saving on winter heating.
Savvy Steward (renamed from Savvy Samurai) is our lucky host for next week so get your entries in early!
