- Free Money Finance’s debate of whether or not you should change the oil yourself brings up all the interesting points I came up with when I thought about it myself. Personally, I change my own oil because some of those oil change shops have been shown to run a scam or two and because it’s really not that difficult. As for the concern that you’re putting yourself between a lot of weight and the driveway, I say that you need to invest in those wheel ramps if you want to change the oil. You do not want to be trying to unscrew a bolt with the car only on the jack. You can be seriously seriously injured.
- MattHutter has a really interesting “lesson” that might be worth trying on your kids in How a Coke can teach your kids the value of money. I’ll let you read it there because it’s a short post.
- It’s an interesting thought… make your own paint! While I don’t recommend making your own paint to paint your room, this would make for some cheap finger paints!
