The Frugal Duchess, none other than Sharon Harvey Rosenberg of the Miami Herald, hosts the 51st edition of the Festival of Frugality and she’s done a great job. She’s broken down the posts into eight categories: Back to Basics, Food, Holiday Shopping/Saving; Generic Shopping, Medicine, Cars/Gas/Energy, Green Living and more.

Here are the posts I found most enlightening (you should read the thirty articles and pick your own faves!):

• Moneysmartz writes about a shopping game you can play to save money on shopping. Anytime you turn something into a game, everyone wins.
• Scott On Money’s entry for this week is something I think everyone should do, spend a few minutes looking up deals, coupons, etc. before you buy something, every time you buy something. There is always a coupon out there and this is something I always do.
• Binary Dollar has some great tips on how to save when eating out in the city. My theory is to save on the little stuff so you can enjoy the big stuff.
