Lazy Man Presents 102nd Festival of Frugality
Lazy Man and Money hosts this week’s 102nd Festival of Frugality (it was supposed to be the 103rd, but who’s counting) a whopping nine posts made the editor’s choice. From those, I selected the coordinator’s choice from the editor’s choice list and these are:
- Dong warns us that you shouldn’t skimp on toilet paper. For me, the difference in price between a nice roll of Charmin and a crappy bulk purchased Costco one-play is too small for the tradeoff. Quote of the festival: “Life’s too short, and butt cheeks too sensitive to expose to thin grainy toilet paper.”
- Cheap Healthy Good has some great tips for buying appliances on the cheap. It’s a step by step guide that is a must read before you buy any appliances this holiday season.
- This one is less about frugality but is a message spendthrifts should take to heart: That good feeling you get after buying something doesn’t last.
There are plenty of great posts in this Festival so please check them out. Next week, Plonkee across the pond will host the Festivals and you can submit your entries here.
