Welcome New York Times Readers!

Welcome readers of Damon Darlin’s article, Consumers Have Allies on the Web, where the Festival of Frugality earned itself a mention as a place for frugalists to convene and share tips and tricks of the trade. Damon’s description of this site isn’t entirely accurate (it’s close though!), this site doesn’t actually do the compilation of money-saving advice, we merely organize and coordinate the moving carnival focused on frugality. However, each week we do highlight some of the especially good posts from that week’s festival and last week we did highlight the “ridiculous” $12 device to squeeze out extra toothpaste. :)

The Festival started in December of 2005 at its blog of origin, Blueprint for Financial Prosperity, and has been running every week, non-stop, since then – last week was the fifty-ninth edition.

So, enjoy the Festival and please poke around the archives!

Thank you for highlighting my post on the “ridiculous” device. I believe that if Mr. Darlin had actually read my post, he wouldn’t have been so insulting. :) Needless to say, I look forward to sharing more money-saving gadgets with the Festival of Frugality!
